01So, how does the whole process work from start to finish?+
In a nutshell, it starts when you contact us. For small jobs, you can send a video and we'll send back a firm quote within 30 minutes. For larger projects like a full home repaint, we'll schedule a free on-site visit with our Site Manager. Once you accept the quote, we lock in a start date that we stick to. Our crew arrives on time, does all the prep work like moving furniture and protecting floors, completes the plastering and painting, and then does a full cleanup. The final step is a walk-through with you to make sure you're 100% happy before we hand over your 10-Year Warranty.
02Is the price you quote the final price, or will there be hidden costs?+
No, the price we give you in your written quote is the final price for the work specified. We are extremely transparent. If we were to discover a significant, unforeseen issue after starting, we stop work immediately. We would then show you the problem, explain the options, and provide a separate, clear quote for that specific issue. Nothing extra is ever done or charged without your full, prior approval.
03What if I'm not happy with the quality of the finish?+
Our job isn't finished until you are completely happy. At the end of every project, we do a final walk-through with you to inspect the work. If you spot anything you're not satisfied with, our crew will fix it on the spot before we pack up. We don't sign off on the job until you do.
04What does the 10-Year Warranty actually cover?+
It covers the workmanship of our application. Specifically, it guarantees that the paint finish will not peel, bubble, or flake as a result of an error in our surface preparation or application process. It does not cover new damage caused by moisture, structural shifts, or physical impact after we leave.
05Are your painters experienced professionals or subcontractors?+
Our team consists of full-time, experienced painters and plasterers who are managed by our Site Manager. We do not use a rotating roster of unvetted day-labourers or subcontractors. You get a consistent, professional crew that takes immense pride in their work.
06How long will my project actually take?+
For urgent patch and paint repairs, we can often complete the job in a single half-day visit. A full interior repaint on a 2-bedroom apartment typically takes about 4 days. A standard 3 or 4-bedroom house will take approximately 7 days from start to finish, including all preparation and cleanup.
07How soon can you start?+
For urgent, smaller jobs, we can often fit them in the same or next day. For larger projects, we are typically booked 1 to 3 weeks in advance. We will give you the first available start date when we provide your quote.
08What areas of Melbourne do you service?+
We are based in Port Melbourne and primarily service Springvale, Clayton and Oakleigh, along with all of Melbourne's South East down to Rye, the eastern suburbs, and the Melbourne CBD. This includes areas like Toorak, Malvern, Hawthorn, Camberwell, Brighton and Glen Waverley.
09Do I really not have to move any furniture or do any prep?+
That's correct. We ask that you clear away small, personal items and clutter, but our crew will carefully move all heavy items like sofas, beds, and cabinets. We also handle all the masking and floor protection.
10Do I need to be home while you work?+
Not at all. The majority of our clients are busy professionals who are happy to provide us with access to the property while they are at work. Our Site Manager can provide you with updates via phone or text.
11What brand of paint do you use?+
We use premium Dulux products for all residential projects. We simply believe it offers the best combination of durability, coverage, and a consistent, high-quality finish. For commercial jobs, we can use other specified products like Berger if required.
12Do I need to supply the paint myself?+
No, the cost of all standard materials, including premium Dulux paint, primers, plaster, and masking supplies, is included in our written quote.
13I don't know anything about colours or types of paint. Does that matter?+
Not in the slightest. During our on-site inspection, our Site Manager can provide free, informal advice on popular Dulux colours and the correct type of paint finish for your home and lifestyle.
14Do you only do the plastering and painting?+
Yes, we are specialists. We focus exclusively on providing a seamless plastering and painting service. If we uncover an issue that requires a different trade, we will let you know immediately.
15What about my pets or kids?+
We work carefully and cleanly around your family. We ask that children and pets be kept out of the direct work area, use low-VOC paints where possible, and our crew ensures the site is clean at the end of each day.
16Do you work on older, heritage-style homes?+
Absolutely. We have extensive experience working on heritage properties in suburbs like Camberwell and Hawthorn. We understand the extra care required for delicate features.
17Do you do very small jobs, like just one wall or a door?+
Yes, our patch and paint service is perfect for small jobs. We have a minimum charge to cover our crew's time and travel, but we are more than happy to repair and paint a single wall.
18What happens if you find more damage once you start work?+
We immediately stop work on that area. We contact you, show you exactly what we've found with photos, and explain the situation. We then provide a clear, separate quote to fix the additional issue. No extra work is ever undertaken without your explicit, written approval.
19I've already started painting myself and made a mess. Can you take over?+
Yes, we can definitely help. Our first step would be to properly prepare the surfaces you've started, which might involve sanding back uneven paint and fixing any mistakes.
20What does the final handover actually look like?+
Once the cleanup is complete, our Site Manager will walk you through every room we've worked on. Once you have confirmed you are 100% happy with every detail, we process the final payment and email you a copy of your 10-Year Workmanship Warranty.
